Ball of Cleveland, Ohio, 52mm, 14K rose gold original J&S (Jeannot & Shiebler) HC with Jurgensen-style lips, initials to front, Webb C. Ball marking inside rear in garter style logo, gold cuvette with 1891 presentation engraving, glazed mvt observation cover, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, lever escapement with moustache counterpoise, wolf's tooth winding, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#282519. Gross weight of assembled watch 80.6 dwt (125.3 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, ratchet wheel missing a tooth though winding function is unaffected, some haze and mild spots to plates, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with light hls at 10:30, fine scratch at perimeter at 5:30; excellent hands; case shows little wear, profuse micro-fine scratches, slight shallow dent to rear near center, few small nicks to band, good engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows little wear; good glass crystals.
